Online Transformer Oil Dehydration, Filtration & Degassing Plant September 27,2019.


For online dehydration, filtration and degassing of transformer oil, the transformer can not be big, the oil volume should be less than 3000 liters. For the more than 110KV transformers, the online filtration is not allowed.  The Transformer Oil Filtration Principle: oil enters the primary filter through the inlet port under the action of the pressure difference between the inside and the outside, and the large particle impurities are filtered out. After the oil is heated by the multi-stage infrared, it enters the special vacuum oil dehydration and degassing chamber, and become mist, then formed into a grinding shape, so that the contact area in vacuum is expanded to hundreds of times, the moisture in the oil is rapidly vaporized under conditions of high heat, high vacuum, large surface and high pumping speed. The vacuum system is discharged. The water vapor discharged from the upper part of the vacuum oil dehydration and degassing chamber is first cooled and dehumidified by the condenser, then cooled into the cooler, and the condensed water is discharged into the water storage device, and the gas after being condensed and dehumidified twice is finally discharged into the air by the vacuum pump. The oil after vacuum dehydration is raised from the negative pressure to the positive pressure by the oil pump, and after fine filtering, the clean oil is discharged from the oil outlet to complete the oil filtration, dehydration and degassing process.


Operation Procedure

1. The vacuum and control temperature should be set before starting oil filtration machine.


2. According to the altitude position of the location, the vacuum degree is set between -0.07-0.09Mpa, and the temperature is generally set at max 60°C.


3.Start the vacuum pump. Observe the increase in vacuum, when the vacuum reaches the set vacuum degree, the electrical contact is turned on. the oil inlet solenoid valve is automatically opened. The use of the heater is controlled by the temperature controller setting and the two-way control of the oil inlet solenoid valve.


4.When the oil enters the vacuum tank and the oil level reaches the lower limit height of the infrared oil level automatic control instrument on the oil level gauge, the internal relay contact of the oil level automatic controller is turned on, the oil discharge electromagnetic is automatically turned on, and the oil pump is automatically turned on. If the oil level exceeds the upper limit of the oil level automatic control, the solenoid valves for oil inlet will closed.


5. the oil inlet solenoid valve is automatically closed, and the oil is stopped, so that the vacuum tank can be prevented from running oil. If the oil level is lower than the lower limit height of the infrared oil level on the oil level gauge, the oil pump automatically stops the oil discharge. Thereby ensuring automatic control of the entire Transformer Oil Dehydration, degassing and filtration process. And after the oil is purified 2-3 passes, it can be sampled and tested from the sampling port.


The Shut Down of Transformer Oil Dehydration, Filtration and Degassing Plant


1.After finishing the filtration process, stop the heater firstly.

2. Turn off the vacuum pump button, and discharge pump will stop automatically.

3. Open air valve and start the discharge pump again to drain the residual oil in the vacuum tank. Then turn off the oil pump

4. Shut down the power supply.


In case of emergency, press the emergency stop button, the oil filter will stop running. To restart, you must select the emergency stop button in the clockwise direction.


Online Transformer Oil Degassing, Dehydration and Filtration:

The first step is to prepare the work. First prepare the clean oil with 5-6% of the transformer oil load next to the transformer oil degassing, dehydration and filtration plant


The drain valve port at the bottom of the transformer should be matched with the oil inlet pipe of the transformer oil degassing, dehydration and filtration. If it is not equipped, remove one oil pipe.


The Transformer Oil Filtration, dehydration and degassing plant should be equipped with qualified oil of 1/2 of the vacuum tank standard.


Open the oil pillow cover of the transformer, insert the oil discharge pipe of the transformer oil filtration plant into the oil level on the cub, and then seal the oil pillow with a clean filter paper or film.


Insert the oil inlet pipe of the oil dehydration plant into the oil drum of the qualified oil. Open the drain valve at the bottom of the transformer and drain the transformer 3-5% oil. At the same time as step 6, the oil filter should be marked with a high vacuum, and then the oil level of the transformer oil pillow will be supplemented.


When the bottom drain valve of the transformer discharges 3-5% of the waste oil, connect the oil inlet pipe of the oil filter to the oil drain valve. Then the transformer oil degassing, dehydration and filtration plant can be used for normal operation.
