Procedure of Dry Air Generator for Transformers January 5,2021.

Dry Air Generator are widely used in electric industry, where large equipment such as transformers and reactors require dry air during maintenance. The dry air provided can ensure that the internal insulation of power equipment will not be damp, and maintenance personnel will not suffocate due to lack of oxygen when working inside the equipment. It is safer, more reliable, economical and convenient than using bottled gas.


When the Dry Air Generators is used for equipment maintenance, it will not be affected by changes in external weather conditions, especially overnight operations, only need to seal all flanges, fill with dry air 0.1~0.3Mpa, no oil-filled transformers, reactors, etc. It will not get damp. The workload of pumping and filling oil every day is reduced, and the maintenance period is shortened and the quality of maintenance is improved. In the oil filtration process, the tank and oil of the oil injection equipment can be aerated and dried. When purifying the oil in rainy days and humid environments, it can ensure the improvement of oil insulation and the reduction of moisture. After the oil depot (oil tank) is connected to the dry gas machine, it can ensure that the stock spare oil is in a qualified state for a long time, so that it can be used at any time for surprise projects. It can also be used in other warehouses, library rooms, and production sites that require a certain amount of dry air.

Operation Procedure of Dry Air Generator for Transformers

1. Connect hoses or steel pipes to the equipment so that the outside air needs to be dry into the machine.

2.If the ambient temperature is higher than 50℃ during use, and you plan to work for a certain period of time, you must use canvas, etc. to put the Dry Air Generator in a cool place, and the side door of the control panel must be opened. If the equipment temperature is too high, the temperature of the generated air will increase relatively, and the required dew point will not be reached.

3. Connect power supply to the terminal of the control panel.

4. Control the air compression switch in the circuit breaker to the "ON" position, (ensure that the air compression valve is fully opened), and the air compressor starts to start.

5.Turn the switch of the cooling system to the "ON" position.

6. Turn on the control switch of the air-drying type heat reduction type to "AUTO" (automatic). After completion, the Transformer Dry Air Generator will automatically dry the air, and the raw air will automatically dehydrate and repeat the air through the two drying systems "A" and "B", completing a cycle within 5 minutes.

7. The scene during operation. Turn the switch to "MAIN" and then turn the switch to "A" and turn the switch to "B"; "A" room-dehydration system; "B" room-circulation system

8. After turning on all the switches, check the exhaust pressure gauge and close the exhaust valve until the air pressure indicated by the pressure gauge reaches 0.5Mpa.
