Vacuum Transformer Oil Filtration
Why Transformer Oil Filtration Brings air Bubble December 15,2021.

When insulating oil is purified by Vacuum Transformer Oil Filtration Machine, the vacuum separation tank often produces air bubbles. This situation usually occurs in the early stages of oil filtration. When these air bubbles reach the height of the vacuum pump outlet, they will enter and exit the vacuum pump cavity from the vacuum pump inlet, which will also cause the vacuum pump to discharge oil. So air bubbles elimination is necessary

The causes of air bubbles in the Vacuum Transformer Oil Filtration Machine are as follows:

1.Oil contains a lot of water. The water in the oil is heated and evaporated in a vacuum environment (the boiling point of water is lower than that of the oil) and becomes water vapor, which is released from the oil in the form of bubbles. When the water vapor cannot be removed in time, the foam on the oil surface will accumulate.

2.The oil has cracked and cannot be reused. As the oil runs at a relatively high temperature for a long time, some low-molecular additives in the oil continue to volatilize, and the anti-foaming agent continues to disappear. As time goes by, oxidation increases, oil viscosity increases, oil film strength increases, and gas permeability deteriorates, which provides conditions for the formation and stability of foam. Waste oil that cannot be reused at this time should be discarded. Generally, the Vacuum Transformer Oil Purifier can prolong the service life of various oils in the steam turbine system by about 3 years, rather than indefinitely. Therefore, in this case, it is necessary to continuously add new oil and oil quality, or directly add the lost anti-foaming agent.

3.The vacuum is too high during the operation of the Vacuum Transformer Oil Purifier, resulting in transient flash evaporation. The high temperature causes the light hydrocarbons and additives in the oil to be analytically mixed into the oil, causing bubbles. In addition, the vacuum is too high. If a large amount of water vapor is not recovered in time, or the designed recovery capacity is not good, water vapor and oil will also interact to form new foam. In this case, the degree of vacuum can be appropriately reduced.

4.The generation of foam during the filtration of the Vacuum Transformer Oil Filter Machine is inevitable, but understanding the cause of the foam can be used to operate the Transformer Oil Filtration Machine more correctly. As the oil filtration progressing, the foam in the vacuum separation tank becomes less and less, and the working vacuum is higher. When there is no foam, the oil passes through the Transformer Oil Filter Machine.
