The Factors Affect Vacuum Value of Vacuum Pump Machine
January 22,2026.
The main factors directly affecting the ultimate vacuum degree of a Vacuum
Pump Machine include the following aspects:
System Leaks
Leaks are the primary factor limiting the ultimate vacuum. External leaks
commonly occur at flange connections with poor sealing, weld cracks, valve
failures, etc., while internal leaks may be caused by ruptured cooling water
pipelines allowing water to seep into the vacuum chamber. Leaks cause system
pressure fluctuations and reduce the ultimate vacuum level.
Vacuum Pump Performance
The type of pump (such as rotary vane pump, Roots pump, molecular pump) and its
working condition directly affect pumping speed and ultimate vacuum. High
temperatures or contamination with impurities can reduce the pump's pumping
speed and ultimate vacuum, so seals need to be replaced regularly and the pump
should be maintained.
Cooling System Configuration
The temperature and flow rate of the cooling water directly affect the
effectiveness of vapor condensation. The higher the temperature of the cooling
water outlet, the lower the vacuum level. It is necessary to reduce the outlet
temperature (for example, by increasing water flow or lowering inlet water
temperature) to improve vacuum.
Residual Gas in the Container
The composition of residual gas in the container is closely related to the
selectivity of the vacuum pump. If the composition of the original gases in the
container does not match the pumping speed of the pump, it may limit the
ultimate vacuum level.
Piping and Equipment Resistance
A complex piping layout or excessive resistance in demisting devices will
reduce vacuum stability. Simplifying pipe design and optimizing equipment
configuration can enhance the ultimate vacuum level.
